Welcome to undergraduate advising for the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution! Our office is located in Heaton Hall and staffed Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. We are closed when Texas A&M University is closed. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for closure dates.

Spring 2026 Semester

Advising Hours January 5th - 16th

Morning: Walk-In Advising | 9:00-11:30 a.m.
In Person: Heaton Hall | Virtual Zoom: ETID Drop-In
Afternoon: Appointment Advising | 1:30-4:00 p.m.

Things to Know

Appointments fill up fast, so book accordingly.
- If you are over 5 minutes late and haven't notified your advisor, you will be marked off as a ‘no show.’
- We open appointments on Fridays for the following week. If you don't see any available for that week, please either come to drop-ins or check back on Friday to book for the next week.
Are you a prospective student?
Email etid-advising@tamu.edu to make an appointment with an advisor
Are you a General Engineering student?
If you haven't completed the Entry-to-a-Major (ETAM) process, you will NOT be able to enroll in any ETID courses until you are placed in one of our majors. If you are awaiting an ETAM decision, you must wait until you get your results.

How to Schedule an Advising Appointment

Schedule an appointment by logging in to Navigate with your NetID and password and following the steps below.
1. Select the blue “Schedule an Appointment” button.
2. Select "Advising Texas A&M University."
3. Select a “Service” that pertains to the advising needs
4. Pick a date.
5. Select the blue “Find Available Times” button.
6. Select “Virtual (Zoom)” or “In-Person” in the left menu “How would you like to meet?”
7. Select "EN-ETID – See Additional Details.”
8. Choose a time or choose an advisor, then a time.
9. Select the blue “Schedule” button.
