The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN) Student Ambassadors are a team of highly motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate students who are competitively selected to serve as representatives for the department. Ambassadors provide a peer-to-peer perspective to prospective students, freshmen, and current ECEN students.

As an ECEN Student Ambassador, students refine their leadership and interpersonal skills; network with department advisors, faculty, and industry; provide constructive feedback on department events, and promote the department.

Ambassador Activities

  • Lead prospective student presentations for the department
  • Participate in recruitment events held by the department, college, and university
  • Provide feedback to the department and serve as project leads for enrichment opportunities for their fellow ECEN students
  • Provide guidance to peers at Degree Planner workshops and Ask an Ambassador sessions.
