The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), lasts 10 weeks during the summer.

The program involves the opportunity for undergraduate students from our Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and other colleges and universities to work with ECE faculty and graduate students on research projects focused on smart energy and smart systems.

The undergraduate students will use advanced technologies, such as intelligent signal processing, computation, microelectronics and nanoscale device synthesis, to develop next-generation algorithms, protocols and prototype technologies. They will also attend lab tours, ethics seminars, and sessions on graduate school and GRE preparation.

At the end of the program, students will present posters on their research experiences at a symposium.

This year’s program will involve approximately 10 students.
