Connect, Recruit, Sponsor
Undergraduate and graduate enrollments continue to rise in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). With this growth comes a pool of outstanding graduates ready to impact the industry.
The ECE Industrial Affiliates Program (IAP) offers unique opportunities for your company to connect with our talented students and enhance its visibility.
Successful recruiting depends on engagement. Our IAP allows you to interact directly with students through tabling events, seminars, and other company-hosted events. A dedicated staff member will assist with planning and strategy to help maximize the impact of your recruiting efforts.
Sponsorship is an ideal way to enhance your company's brand. Becoming a sponsor means you gain exclusive access to a select group of high-achieving students through members-only opportunities. These valuable events provide a way to meet and actively recruit top talent for your organization.
Four Membership Levels
-
Engage a faculty member and a graduate student in a project!
Our exceptional ECE faculty are continuously pushing the boundaries of cutting-edge technology, from advancements in semiconductors to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence. We invite you to join their pursuit in shaping the future of the industry and creating a more impactful tomorrow.
-
Introduce bright undergraduate students to research through our Junior Research Scholars Program!
The program offers undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in research alongside faculty members by utilizing three credits of ECEN 491. Research will be conducted during the fall or spring semester of the student’s junior year. Scholars will collaborate in small teams (2-4 students) on targeted research topics and leverage flexible, modular research testbeds developed in partnership with ECE industry collaborators.
-
Sponsor a Capstone team!
Through our Capstone Involvement Program, students become intimately familiar with a company's products, which they advertise when discussing their projects with other students. The company gets a semester-long look at some enthusiastic students, and projects are demonstrated at the end of each semester and judged by industry leaders. The greatest benefit is that your company gets an innovative design.
The sponsor assigns a company liaison or mentor for the students, ideally, an engineer willing to work with students and provide equipment training if necessary. The sponsor also provides an equipment loan if the project requires special equipment. WebCT Course Management enables online access to sponsored projects. A standard donation of $15,000 is required for two-semester projects (one team usually comprises 4-5 students; this is reduced if more teams are sponsored). Funds support department scholarships, travel expenses and other student activities.
