A program for Undergraduate Students in Civil & Environmental Engineering
Welcome to the Student Mentoring Program. Here, you will learn more about the faculty in the Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering who have volunteered to serve as mentors for our undergraduate students.
Whether you want to know more about an area of specialization, undergraduate research opportunities, graduate school, career opportunities, or need advice on career paths, there are faculty members who are ready to help.
Our mentoring program will adapt to our students' needs and the approach that best fits a particular faculty member. For example, some faculty may offer opportunities to meet in small groups with other students to discuss topics of general interest. Sometimes, a student may request a one-time meeting to ask for advice. Faculty and students may also establish ongoing mentoring relationships during a student's undergraduate studies. Finally, some students may wish to meet with different faculty mentors depending on their questions.
You can learn more about the faculty mentors below by clicking on their names to link to their individual web pages. You may contact a faculty mentor directly via email.
If you would like assistance selecting a faculty mentor, please submit the "Mentor Request Form" below. We will suggest a mentor and connect you with a mentor.
Finally, if you have suggestions for improving our mentoring program, email Dr. Mary Beth Hueste at mhueste@tamu.edu.
