Corrosion and materials degradation cost the global economy trillions of dollars each year, and the engineers who can predict, prevent, and diagnose these failures are in short supply. The Graduate Certificate in Materials Integrity and Corrosion Engineering (MATI) gives you that expertise in just 12 credit hours. Created by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M, this certificate combines corrosion science, corrosion control, materials selection and design, and failure analysis to help you pursue rewarding roles in energy, petrochemicals, infrastructure, transportation, and defense. Take it on campus alongside your graduate degree, or fully online while you work.
MATI is a 12-credit-hour standalone graduate certificate approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. It is open to current Texas A&M graduate students and to external applicants, including industry, government, and national laboratory professionals.
