Research Interests

  • Dr. Catherine Ambrose serves as a professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where her research focus is on biomaterials and bone health including orthopaedic implant design, bone tissue properties in health and disease, bone regeneration, biomaterials for infection prevention and biomaterials for drug delivery.

    She has adjunct appointments at Rice University, the Shrine Orthopaedic Hospital Houston and the University of Texas Biomedical Engineering Department where she has supervised and participated in graduate committees for engineering students at both the masters and doctorate levels.
