The Department of Aerospace Engineering (AERO) will send a seat assessment link to AERO students after preregistration ends. Students should not submit a seat assessment if there are open seats available in another section of the same course. After evaluation of the seat assessment, students will be notified if we can release seats and if there is no need for a force list. Should there be a need to force students, the seat assessment becomes a force list request.
Submitting the seat assessment constitutes a signature of approval for the following statements:
- I have not enrolled in courses that cause a time conflict with the requested course and section, and I am responsible for resolving such conflicts.
- I understand that I will not be forced into a class if I have not met the prerequisites before the first day of the semester.
- I understand that by requesting this action, it does not guarantee I will be enrolled should the course be deemed full by the department. Enrollment management decisions are subject to classroom capacity and are up to the discretion of the department.
- I understand departmental decisions on forcing might not be made until the week prior to the beginning of the semester.
- I will be expected to review my schedule and pay for the additional hours under the University registration and payment procedures.
