Ocean Engineering on the Galveston Campus

Galveston provides a unique opportunity in that the campus is located directly on the water's edge. While students are working hard in class, they can simply gaze out the classroom window and be reminded of why they chose to pursue a degree in ocean engineering. Or, they can take to the sea and discover what ocean engineering is all about with research experiences in a lab, on a boat and in the waves.

Academic benefits include:

  • Small campus atmosphere with less than 2,500 students
  • Unlimited hands-on education and field experience with the coastal environment in their backyard
  • Access to faculty and resources to enhance one-on-one education experience
  • Direct connection to College Station faculty via telecommunication software
  • All the benefits of being part of a world-class engineering program
