We are seeking a civil or structural engineer to work in our Fort Worth or Austin, Texas office. The successful candidate will work in our Energy Division, learning to design overhead transmission line and substation structures, foundations, and their related facilities. The minimum GPA of 2.75 and a civil engineering major is required. The ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete, steel, soils, foundations, and surveying. Some designing, drafting, or engineering work experience is desirable (may have been on a co-op or intern basis). The ideal candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry.

The Kenrich Group | Consulting Engineering Internship | Paid, Full-Time

We are seeking candidates for our summer internship position in our Austin office. Responsibilities are similar to our entry-level staff consultant position.
Responsibilities will include:

Project scheduling and cost analysis;
- Computer modeling;
- Fact-finding; and
- Document review.

Specific analyses may include:

- Assistance with the preparation and review of construction damage and schedule claims and counterclaims (including the use of P6 and Microsoft Project platforms),
- Assistance with the preparation of expert reports, expert testimony and exhibits for trial or settlement negotiations;
- Involvement in litigation, arbitration or mediation.
- Most importantly, candidates will work on maintaining and fostering client relationships through superior client service. Candidates must be willing to travel to client locations and other Kenrich offices as required.

Position Requirements:

Candidates must be working toward a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (construction management and/or civil engineering preferred). Candidates must have a minimum grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Candidates should be graduating in December 2019 or May 2020. Applicants must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical, organizational, communication and computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. Knowledge of scheduling software, such as Primavera and Microsoft Project, is a plus.
