The computer engineering undergraduate degree is jointly offered by the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Although the degree is listed in the Texas A&M undergraduate catalog under both departments, the requirements are identical. Students are admitted to the degree program after completing the first-year engineering curriculum, and are assigned to one of the two departments for administrative and advising purposes.
