Howdy! Welcome to Graduate Distance Learning in Petroleum Engineering!

Thank you for your interest in the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering Distance Learning Graduate Program at Texas A&M University. The mission of the Master of Engineering degree program is to prepare high-quality, well-rounded petroleum engineers to enter managerial and technical positions in the industry.

We offer the Master of Engineering non-thesis graduate degree completely (100%) online, so you can study anywhere in the world. However, we cannot deliver the Master of Science, Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees online. To qualify for admission, you must hold the Bachelor of Science degree in the field of engineering. Our graduate program has a rigorous engineering curriculum consisting of basic engineering sciences; and without an engineering background, students will find our graduate courses very difficult.

Whether taking classes on campus or through distance learning, the standards for admission, course work, graduation and your diploma are all the same

Due to the high volume of emails and telephone calls, the graduate committee will not review transcripts, resumes, statement of purpose, or other parts of the application prior to submitting your completed application to Texas A&M University.

Gig 'em,

Dr. Maria Barrufet, Director
