Applications to Engineering Honors are evaluated on a continual basis (rolling admissions).

For incoming freshmen and incoming transfer students, it is best to complete your application at least four weeks before attending your New Student Conference in order to receive the most accurate advising information for registration or by January 2 (deadline for AY 2018-2019 only in consideration for the recent events connected with Hurricane Harvey) to receive full consideration for scholarships / living learning community (dorm) for the next academic year.

For current students, we strongly suggest you complete your application at least 2 weeks before the start of the semester (fall/spring), as this will allow accepted students to participate in priority registration for the following semester.

Students who have questions about eligibility or the application process should contact the EH Program at engineeringhonors@tamu.edu.

Deadline

Applications to the EH Program are evaluated on a continual basis (rolling admissions). Incoming freshmen and incoming transfer students are encouraged to apply by January 2 (deadline for AY 2018-2019 only in consideration for the recent events connected with Hurricane Harvey) to receive full consideration for scholarships and positions in the EH Living Learning Program for the next academic year; if they are unable to make this deadline, then they should apply as soon as possible after it and at least four weeks before attending the New Student Conference in order to receive the most accurate advising information for registration. Continuing students are encouraged to apply at least two weeks before the start of the semester (fall/spring), as this will allow accepted students to participate in priority registration for the following semester.

Incoming freshman and incoming transfer students

The application needs to be completed at least four weeks before attending your New Student Conference in order to receive the most accurate advising information for registration and to be able to register for honors courses or by January 2 to receive full consideration for scholarships / living learning community (dorm) for the next academic year.

Current students

To have priority registration during the pre-registration period for the following semester, complete your application at least 2 weeks before the start of the semester (fall/spring), no later than the following:

  • Spring: By the 2nd business day after the Winter Break (e.g., January 2)
  • Fall: The day after final grades are due for Summer Session II

Once accepted, students need to check their registration status and to email engineeringhonors@tamu.edu if there are any issues, at least 2 weeks before pre-registration to give the offices concerned enough time to resolve registration issues.

Those accepted after the 12th class day will not have priority registration during the pre-registration for the following semester, but are encouraged to start participating in Engineering Honors activities and advising.  For example, those admitted after the 12th class day of the Fall semester, will not have priority registration for Spring.

Students who have questions about eligibility or the application process should contact the EH Program at engineeringhonors@tamu.edu.
