Eligibility

The Texas-Chevron A&M Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District is for first-time students, full-time students and continuing students who have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by the Alamo Colleges District. Students interested in the Texas-Chevron A&M Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District must first secure admission to Alamo Colleges District

First-time, full-time students should submit an application to Alamo Colleges District and an additional prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Northeast Lakeview College.

Continuing students already enrolled at Alamo Colleges District who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Northeast Lakeview College.

Alamo Colleges District will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application by June 1 and all supplemental documents to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions by June 15. Detailed information, instructions and contact information can be found on the Alamo Colleges District website.

Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.

Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M and are enrolled at Alamo Colleges District. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through Alamo Colleges District and Texas A&M University-College Station. Students previously enrolled at Texas A&M University are not eligible to apply.
