The National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program provides participants with the foundational elements for pursuing commercialization, access to travel funds to apply new knowledge and gain insight for the commercial aspects of their innovation and opportunities for follow-on grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF)


  • Become an NSF I-Corps Fellow - Recognition awarded to participants who successfully complete the program
  • Learn the fundamentals for launching a successful product/service - Business Model Canvas and Lean Launch
  • Evaluate the potential of your innovation - Discover the market potential, competitive landscape and move your idea towards commercialization.
  • Elevate your communication skills - Learn and practice how to effectively communicate your ideas to others and receive important feedback.
  • Collaborate with industry experts - Receive feedback from experts in entrepreneurship throughout the program.
  • Develop skills for an entrepreneurial mindset - Industry is looking for employees who understand that a successful product is not a perfect technical solution but a solution that creates value. Gain knowledge and skills of interest to employers
  • Travel - Receive up to $3,000 in travel funds to travel and pursue customer interviews
