Mechanical Engineering - South Korea

With this course, students will learn theory and application of energy methods in engineering, energy transfer by heat, work and mass; thermodynamic properties; analysis of open and closed systems; the second law of thermodynamics and entropy; gas vapor; and applications.

Most of the students do not have experience in travelling to Asian countries and have not had opportunity to learn different culture, customs and activities, this course gives a glimpse into that too.

Seoul is officially called the Seoul Capital City and is the capital and largest metropolis city of South Korea. It is home to over half of all South Koreans along with a huge number of international residents. The city is situated on the Han river and its history dates back to more than 2000 years. Today, Seoul is considered to be a leading and rising global city. It was rated as Asia’s most livable city with second highest quality of life.

  • Good academic standing with university
  • Students are required to attend all study abroad program specific meetings and the general orientation workshop in the semester prior to departure.

Guaranteed

Texas A&M University College of Engineering is offering a scholarship for selected students who have a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of application. There is no need to apply for the engineering scholarship. It is automatic if students meet all of the requirements listed below:

  • Have a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of application
  • Satisfy the course requirements for admission
  • Be admitted and confirmed by Feb. 15, 2018
  • Required to attend all Study Abroad Programs Office (SAPO) and College of Engineering pre-trip orientations
  • Submit requested documents by deadlines
