Tenaris International Internship Program

The college of engineering has partnered with TENARIS to offer international internship for sophomore, junior and senior students (except graduating seniors of May/August 2016). This is a great opportunity to combine two of the most valuable high impact learning activities in one summer: Study Abroad and Internship.

The Tenaris International Internship Program offers the best combination of work experience, learning skills and getting immersed in a new culture. This program represents an opportunity for students, in intermediary study years, to be part of a global manufacturing environment working on challenging assignments and real-world engineering projects.

Internship participants are integrated into the daily life of the different areas and locations of Tenaris worldwide and they will be able to explore their career interests, work in a culturally diverse atmosphere, develop their skills and expand their professional network.

If you are a sophomore, or junior interested in spending a summer abroad and work for a global manufacturing company, this could be the program for you.

Program Duration: 8 to 10 weeks
Tentative Start Date: Beginning Of June
Number of participants: 10 to 15
Host Countries: South America, North America and Europe
Requirement: Register for a ENGR 484 (1 credit Internship) tuition and fees should be paid by student
Program cost: Tenaris will cover the visa and travel cost related to the program

If you are a graduating senior or a graduate student, you are not eligible.

Potential Working Areas

Participants will be assigned to different functional areas within Tenaris. As the program is directed to engineers careers, the main departments that you can be part of are the Industrial areas,responsible for producing quality tubular products and continuous improvement; Commercial areas, principal contact for customers and is responsible for designing and providing timely, effective solutions to meet their needs; Technology in charge of developing innovative products, as well as design production processes and technology in our worldwide network of R&D laboratories; or Supply Chain accountable for offering a logistics service to meet customer demand requirements through an efficient global logistics network.

Learning and Development

Training is the backbone of our company. We understand the importance of giving you the chance to continue learning and are committed to strengthening both technical and managerial skills through Tenaris University. During the program you will have a supervisor in charge to guide you during your assignment and make sure you receive the appropriate training to better understand your role, your new area and Tenaris.
