Study Abroad: IIT Gandhinagar, India

ISEN 355 is a required junior level course for ISEN majors. The objectives of the course are (1) develop models using commercially available discrete event (process-oriented) simulation software, (2) interpret simulation output using valid statistical methods, (3) collect and analyze input data using valid statistical methods, and (4) apply simulation to model industrial and system engineering problems.

ISEN 425 is a senior level elective that builds on simulation skills acquired in ISEN 355. ISEN 425 provides an in-depth study into the design-modeling and subsequent analysis of contemporary production/service systems, factory/service systems are modeled using a high level simulation language, emphasis is placed on the critical analysis of alternative flow designs of modeled systems using flow and economic parameters to assess system improvement.
