Electrical & Computer Engineering - Germany

This program will be hosted by RWTH Aachen University, Germany, which is widely considered to be the best technical university in Germany. All classes will be held in RWTH Aachen, which is located in the highly-industrialized Rhine valley and has more than 43,000 students enrolled. The first few days of the program (July 2 - July 10) will be spent on campus in College Station, Texas. The departure date to Germany will be July 11. There will be cultural and technical visits that will highly impact the cultural exchange opportunities for our students.

Location Information

Aachen, Germany 

Aachen is a small university town, much like College Station. As the westernmost city in Germany, Aachen and the surrounding area belongs to a temperate climate zone, with mild winters and cool summers. Aachen's industries include science, engineering and information technology. The city of Aachen has developed into a technology hub as a by-product of hosting one of the leading universities of technology in Germany, the RWTH Aachen University.

ECEN 303, 322: Random Signals and Systems, Electric and Magnetic Fields

Eligibility & Requirements

Admission to this program is competitive and availability is limited. Applications will be evaluated on February 1, 2018. Evaluation will be based on academic performance, application package materials, and program goals. Only complete applications that meet all minimum admissions criteria will be accepted for evaluation.

Students who desire to study abroad must have:

  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA,
  • Good academic standing with university,
  • Approval of advisor, and
  • Attendance at ALL program specific orientations.

Foreign Language Requirement

None! All courses are taught in English by Texas A&M University Faculty.

Guaranteed

Texas A&M University College of Engineering is offering scholarship for selected student who has a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of application. There is no need to apply for the engineering scholarship, it is automatic if students meet all of the requirements listed below:

  • Have a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of application
  • Satisfy the course requirements for admission
  • Be admitted and confirmed by Feb. 15, 2018
  • Required to attend all Study Abroad Programs Office (SAPO) and College of Engineering pre-trip orientations
  • Submit requested documents by deadlines
