Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering - France

Students from two engineering departments will develop competences in advanced structural analysis and solid mechanics in mechanical design. The host school (ENSAM) is one of France’s top engineering schools with focus on education in mechanics. Students will be introduced to the history of mechanics in France. Technical terminology in French will be introduced in several lectures laying emphasis on semantic aspects.

Location Information


Southern France is the area that makes up what the French refer to as "le Midi", it is generally speaking of the most popular tourist region. It consists of the regions of France that border the Atlantic Ocean south of the Marais Poitevin, Spain, the Mediterranean, and Italy. Mild winters and hot summers are usual along the south of France.

Students who desire to study abroad must have:

  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA
  • Good academic standing with university
  • Approval of the professor
  • Attendance at ALL program specific orientations

The Texas A&M University College of Engineering is offering scholarship for selected student who has a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of application. There is no need to apply for the engineering scholarship, it is automatic if students meet all of the requirements listed below:

  • Have a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of application
  • Satisfy the course requirements for admission
  • Be admitted and confirmed by Feb. 15, 2017
  • Required to attend all Study Abroad Programs Office (SAPO) and College of Engineering pre-trip orientations
  • Submit requested documents by deadlines
