Winter Marathon School

The study abroad program will center around participation in a competitive programming program run at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Brazil. The program is run during USP's winter break, and is in the form of a short course that they refer to as a "Marathon". Our students would travel to Sao Paulo to participate in the program with students from USP (and other locations in Brazil) who are in attendance. The program name ("Winter Marathon School in Brazil") is meant to reflect this.

The program will include a short period of time in Brazil both before (in Sao Paulo) and after (in Rio de Janiero) the marathon school, for students to visit two of the major cities in Brazil. This will give students a brief opportunity to see some of the landmarks and cultural attractions in Brazil.
