Q. What is the deadline to apply?

Q. Where do I go to apply for METM?

All students must fill out the application on http://applytexas.org.


Q. What are the minimum Admissions requirements?

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 4 years minimum work experience
  • Background in a technical field of work

Q. Does METM require GRE or GMAT scores?

No, GRE or GMAT scores are not required.


Q. What sort of information are you looking for in my essays?

Essay answers are weighed heavily in the admissions process. It is important for applicants to be as thoughtful an honest as possible when writing essays.

Effective essays should:

  1. Address the topics thoroughly and thoughtfully
  2. Provide honest insight to what differentiates the applicant from other applicants
  3. Follow the guideline for spacing and length

Q. What makes a letter of recommendation effective?

Letters of recommendation are a key factor in the admissions process.

Letters of Recommendation are most effective when they meet the following criteria:

  1. All letters of recommendation should be written by professional supervisors and/or peers
  2. At least one letter should come from a current or former direct supervisor
  3. Each letter should cover the following topics:
    • The applicant’s professional potential, including strengths and weaknesses
    • The applicant’s commitment to success
    • Why you are personally recommending the applicant for the METM program

Q. How much time should I expect to dedicate to the METM program?

Courses materials will be uploaded to eCampus each week, and students can cover the material at their own pace. Students should expect to spend about 10-20 hours a week completing the coursework and assignments.

 

Financial Aid FAQs

Q. Is financial aid available?

Upon gaining admittance to the program, you will be recognized as graduate student of Texas A&M University. Financial Aid may be available for those students who meet requirements to receive aid. All applicants interested in obtaining financial aid are encouraged to submit an application with Texas A&M Financial Aid office or the FAFSA. The FAFSA code for Texas A&M is 003632.
