Hilaly has more than 22 years of industrial experience in the biochemicalindustry, and extensive experience in research and development management. His research area includes food, nutraceuticals, feed, fuelsand renewable chemicals. He has held positions of process engineer, R&D managerand R&D director. Hilaly has 16 issued U.S. patents. His teaching interests include process design, mass transferand bioprocess engineering.
