Halliburton Engineering Global Programs (HEGP) will award a scholarship of $1,000 to select Texas A&M University College of Engineering students. The scholarship application will be open from Oct. 15, 2020 through Nov. 15, 2020, to students who require financial assistance for a global program occurring in 2021.

The primary purpose of the scholarship is to provide selected students with a scholarship prior to them having selected a global opportunity. The award will be available for use during the summer and fall terms of 2021.

The Scholarship

  1. Awards will be provided in the amount of $1,000.
  2. If selected, students will be notified by Dec. 1, 2020.
  3. The scholarship will be awarded for the study abroad program of student’s choice.
  4. Funds will be posted to your student account and should be used for your global program.
  5. Funds are forfeited if the student does not participate in a 2021 global opportunity.
  6. The scholarship is both needs/merit-based. Some merit-based scholarships may require a minimum GPA of 3.2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid is required for needs-based scholarships.

Individuals Eligible to Apply

  1. Undergraduate students enrolled in the Texas A&M College of Engineering
  2. Students possessing a minimum grade point average of 2.5

Application Process

  1. Complete the HEGP Scholarship student information form.
  2. Complete the university-wide scholarship application.
  3. Both must be completed by Nov. 15, 2020.
