ECOS, a community in the Engineering Village @ The Commons

The Engineering Honors Community of Scholars (ECOS) is an optional, residential component for Engineering Honors students. ECOS residents experience:

  • Living with other high-achieving students
  • Support and peer mentorship from our ECOS Fellows and Coaches
  • Access to weekly events and activities designed for:
    • academic success - group homework sessions, meet & greets with professors, & research expos
    • community building - movie marathons, board game nights, engineering competitions, the Big Event & peer teaching
    • professional development - resume clinics, mock interviews, workshops on internships, fellowships, and undergraduate research & mixers with industry

As a residential community in the Engineering Village @ The Commons, ECOS offers residents a fun and engaging experience with a strong support system. The Engineering Village @ The Commons is located on the southside of campus in Mosher, Krueger, and Aston Halls.  ECOS is housed in the newly renovated Mosher Hall.

Features of the Engineering Village @ The Commons include:

  • Community Learning Center with computers, study spaces, and a resource library with study/test prep materials
  • Fully equipped game room with table tennis and more for when you need a study break
  • "All You Can Eat" dining facility featuring a variety of cuisines, "Grab and Go" food options, and a convenience store
