Engineering Safety Council
(Formerly the Engineering Safety Committee and the TEES Safety Council)
1. Assissts the director of TEES and the office of Engineering Safety in developing
EH&S policy and administering the Engineering Safety(EH&S) program. 2. Acts as a resource department and division safety committees, faculty, researchers,
staff, and students with regard to suggestions, complaints, and reports of safety deficiencies. 3. Reviews accidents and injury
reports as forwarded by the department or division safety committees, for mitigation, abatement, and/or training needs.
4. Participates in the development and implementation of EH&S training programs. 5. Holds regular meetings, atleast four times annually.
6. Annually review ammendments to the safety policy and forwards recommendations to the Director of TEES and the Office of Engineering
Safety. 7. Implements effective procedures to help ensure a safe, healthful and secure environment. 8. Provide and Environment
and forum foremployees to exercise their responsibilities to ensure a safe, healthful and secure environment for themselves and
coworkers. 9. Advise and make recommendations to the Department and the Division Heads of the environmental health and security
matters that may effect the employees, students and visitors, or that may affect the general public or the environment.
10. Conducts assessments of the department and division operations and activities to facilitate the implementation of the division's
Integrated Safety Management(ISM) Plan and the Laboratory Self-Assessment Program 11. Coordinates the ammually review division
safety(EH&S) Manual
