Academics and Retention

WE Academic Workshops:

Incoming freshmen and continuing sophomores are encouraged to attend academic workshops on choosing a major, how to study for math and achieve academic success. Workshops are offered on a monthly basis and provide students with a head-start on their GPA and coursework. To find out about more ways you can get involved, view our calendar. 

WE Engineering 101:
Specifically for incoming freshman women, WE offers a variety of workshops on learning styles and strategies, finding resources around campus, time management and study skills. ENG 101 is offered annually in the fall to help students transition to the college of engineering and gain an understanding for available resources.

WE Aggie Research Leaders Program
WE Aggie Research Leaders Program is for graduate students interested in mentoring undergraduate students in research.  In conjunction with the Aggie Research Leaders Program, WE recruits graduate women in engineering to mentor undergraduate students in their labs.  For more information, please contact weoutreach@tamu.edu.

WE Aggie Research Scholars Program 
WE Aggie Research Scholars Program is for undergraduate women interested in developing technical and research skills.  WE works with Aggie Research Scholars Program to provide undergraduate students with opportunities to work in research labs with graduate students and faculty.
