Free On-Campus Tutoring:

The Academic Success Center offers FREE on-campus tutoring for many undergraduate classes.  We have FOUR convenient locations across campus.  Our locations and times are listed below:

  • Hullabaloo Hall, Room 105 (Sunday through Thursday, 5pm to 9pm)
  • 10th Floor of Rudder Tower, Room 1006 (Monday through Thursday, 5pm to 9pm)
  • 2nd Floor of Evans Library (outside the Writing Center, Sunday through Thursday, 5pm to 9pm)
  • White Creek Apartments, Multipurpose Room (Sunday, Tuesday, & Thursday, 5pm to 9pm)

The ASC Tutors offer subjects such as ACCT, BIOL, BICH, CHEM, ECON, ENGR, HIST, MATH, PHYS, POLS, PSYC, STAT, & more!  Our highly qualified tutors have performed well in each course they tutor for, and can guide you to your goals!

February 1, 2017 Texas Sea Grant College Program The Texas Sea Grant College Program is offering paid internships for the 2016-2017 academic year. Successful applicants will spend 1-2 weeks working closely with the Stormwater Wetland Program Coordinator at the Texas Coastal Watershed Program (TCWP), located in the South Houston area. Interns will learn wetland plant identification and propagation techniques while working in wetland plant nurseries in Clear Lake City (Houston) and Lake Jackson. January 18th 2017 (Deadline) SRW Join the 2016-2017 Student Research Week (SRW), the largest single-university student-run research symposium in the US, planning committee. The SRW Committee is a special committee within the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) at Texas A&M University. The SRW Committee organizes the biggest academic event at Texas A&M University every year to provide Aggies a platform to publicly showcase their research and be recognized for the same.

We are looking for zealous graduate and professional, and undergraduate (juniors and seniors only) students who wish to make a positive impact on students, faculty, and staff at Texas A&M University, and on the local community through their leadership and service. This is a high impact opportunity to gain event programming experience in an academic setting and to sharpen leadership, organizational, and public skills.

Monday, February 8, 2017 Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Applications The ASF Scholarship is a $10,000 National Fellowship for Juniors and Seniors in the STEM fields with demonstrated research accomplishments. They must be intending to go to Graduate School (Medical school only disqualifies you, MD/PhD is OK). The campus deadline is 8 AM on Monday, February 8th. Candidates should have a GPR of at least 3.8, higher is better and have documented evidence of research productivity (co-authored papers, posters, presentations, awards, etc.). Informationals for candidates will be held in 103 Henderson Hall and may be registered for in the Event Registration System (ERS) here.
