 TAMU: Honors Mixer 

Honors mixer sponsored by the Honors Student Council for all incoming freshman in a College, Departmental or University Honors Program.

EH: Welcome Social - Register - There will be free food, speakers, and fun activities to start off the school year! The welcome social event will be held in the Rec Center Archery Room on Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 6:45 pm – 8:45 pm.

EH: Building your own Brand -Register - Join us for this seminar to find out how co-curricular experiences can help boost your chances in getting the right job.

Sep 5th

EH: Career Fair Prep Clinic -Register - Features industry mentors who will conduct one-on-one resume clinics and mock interviews, a panel discussion (lunch provided), and an “Honors-only Career Fair” where students interact with industry representatives.

EH: Undergrad Research Scholar Information Session - Register - An overview of the Undergraduate Research Scholar program, including how-tos to applying and developing the proposal.

WELCH WORKS TO OPTIMIZE DATA STORAGE

Most of us have seen the “Not Enough Storage” message on our smart phone or tablet. Cloud computing services provide a way to alleviate this overwhelming need for space by letting programs store their data on remote servers instead of locally.

 

2016 ASTRONAUT SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT 

Maura Cadigan, an Engineering Honors senior in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University, has been selected to receive the 2016 Astronaut Scholarship, which is awarded by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation

AMATO, COMPUTER SCIENCE FACULTY CHAIR 2016 ROBOTICS: SCIENCE AND SYSTEMS CONFERENCE

Dr. Nancy M. Amato, director of engineering honors and co-director of the computer science and engineering track of engineering honors at Texas A&M University, was selected program chair of the 2016 Robotics: Science and Systems Conference (RSS) held in June at the University of Michigan.

HONORS STUDENT EXPLORED UNCHARTED COMPUTING TERRITORY

Andrew Nemec, a recent graduate from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, held several prestigious distinctions during his undergraduate career including participation in Engineering Honors, Honors in Science, Honors in Mathematics, Honors Fellows and Undergraduate Research Scholars.

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING STUDENT TOPS COMPETITION FOR RESEARCH AWARD

David LaCroix, computer engineering honors graduate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, was recently awarded the Outstanding Thesis Award for the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics division of the LAUNCH: Undergraduate Research awards.
