Four graduate students receive AFS awards

The Association of Former Students and the Office of Graduate Studies recognized graduate students for their distinguished research and teaching at the 2008-2009 Distinguished Graduate Student Awards ceremony March 25  at the Clayton W. Williams Jr. Alumni Center.

Among those honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award was Matthew W. Tanner, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Receiving the Excellence in Master’s Research Award was Tara Ramani, Zachry Department of  Civil Engineering.

Receiving the Excellence in Doctoral Research Award were Xiugang Li, Zachry Department of Civil Engineering, and Ryan Pedrigi, Department of Biomedical Engineering.
