Aditya Konduri, Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University, received second place in the Student Poster Competition at the 52nd Annual Technical Meeting of The Society of Engineering Science.
The award was in recognition of his work "Asynchronous Computing of Fluid Flow Phenomena at Extreme Scales," which was done under the supervision of his advisor Dr. Diego A. Donzis, associate professor in the department.
Konduri works in the Turbulence and Advanced Computations Laboratory and does research on highly scalable asynchronous computing methods to solve partial differential equations on massively parallel supercomputers. In 2016, he will join Sandia National Laboratories to continue his work on massively parallel simulations of turbulent flows. Before coming to Texas A&M he completed a master's degree in aerospace engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master's in engineering mechanics at JNCASR, India and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the Osmania University, India.
