poster winnersSeveral graduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University received a Best Project Poster award at the Power System Engineering Research Center (PSERC) Industry Advisory Board meeting.

Tamara Becejac, Payman Dehghanian, Ahad Esmaeilian, Cheng Qian and their advisor, Dr. Mladen Kezunovic, along with Meng Wu, whose advisor is Dr. Le Xie, won the award for their poster “Management of Mission-Critical Systems through Certification, Commissioning, In-Service Maintenance, Remote Testing and Risk Assessment.”

The primary focus of the semi-annual PSERC Industry Advisory Board meeting is to hear proposal presentations, discuss new research projects and promote collaboration among researchers, industry members and students in the electric power industry.

As the largest National Science Foundation Industry-University Cooperative Research Center, PSERC draws on university capabilities to creatively address the challenges facing the electric power industry. Its core purpose is to empower minds to engineer the future electric energy system.
