Dr. Robin R. Murphy’s book, "Disaster Robotics," earned honorable mention in the Engineering & Technology category of the 2015 American Publishers Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence (PROSE Awards).

Murphy is the Raytheon Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University and is the director of the Center for Robot Assisted Search and Rescue (CRASAR), a center within the Texas A&M Engineering and Experiment Station (TEES).
