Two Ph.D. students in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering received awards through the Southwest Region University Transportation Center (SWUTC).

Brad Brimley was the recipient of the Dr. Robert Herman Award for the Most Outstanding Student. Brimley is working on his Ph.D. in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation engineering. He received his bachelor’s and master’s in civil engineering from Brigham Young University. He will be representing SWUTC at the Council of University Transportation Centers annual banquet on Jan. 10, 2015 in Washington, D.C.

Josh White was the recipient of the TAMU Outstanding Ph.D. Student Award. He is working on his Ph.D. in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering. White received his bachelor’s in physics from Abilene Christian University and master’s in civil engineering from Texas A&M.
