Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, has appointed Dr. Ying Li as the Pioneer Natural Resources Faculty Fellow III in Mechanical Engineering. The faculty fellowship appointment was effective Oct. 1.
Li is an associate professor in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University. He received his Ph.D. in environmental engineering sciences from the University of Florida in 2007.
Li’s research interests include nanomaterials, solar energy conversion, catalysis and photocatalysis, carbon dioxide capture and utilization, energy storage, rechargeable battery, water treatment and purification, air pollution control, and aerosol science and technology.
