Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, has appointed Dr. Matthew A. Kuttolamadom as the Corrie and Jim Furber ’64 Faculty Fellow in Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution. The faculty fellowship appointment was effective Oct. 1.
Kuttolamadom is an assistant professor in the engineering technology and industrial distribution at Texas A&M University. He received his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Clemson University-International Center for Automotive Research. He received his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy, and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical (automobile) engineering from the University of Kerala.
Kuttolamadom’s research interests include materials, manufacturing, surface metrology, tribology/modeling, and machining/titanium alloys.
