The Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University will hold the 22nd Buchanan Lecture on November 7, 2014 at the College Station Hilton at 2 p.m. in the Brazos Amphitheater. The 2014 Buchanan Lecturer is Dr. Craig H. Benson, who is a distinguished professor at the University of Wisconsin and chair of the Departments of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Geological Engineering. Benson’s lecture will be “Landfill Covers: water balance, unsaturated soils, and a pathway from theory to practice”.
Two additional lecturers will be featured: professor Marika Santagata of Purdue University and professor Arvid Landva of the University of New Brunswick in Canada.
