Brad Worsham ’88 is supporting the Dwight Look College of Engineering and the Department of Aerospace Engineering through two contributions to the Texas A&M Foundation.
Worsham is contributing $250,000 to the Engineering Education Complex (EEC), a state-of-the-art learning facility dedicated solely to undergraduate engineering education. His decision is based on a desire to support the educational goals set forth by Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering.
“My contribution to the Engineering Education Complex is my commitment to the vision put forth by Dean Banks to further Texas A&M University’s position as a world-class engineering institution,” said Worsham.
In addition to his support of the EEC, Worsham is contributing $100,000 to endow a scholarship for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. The Brad Worsham ’88 Scholarship provides financial assistance to at least two students exhibiting exceptional academic performance.
Worsham views this endowment as an investment in the future by promoting the “cycle of excellence that starts with the active recruitment of high-caliber students to aerospace engineering.” His contribution highlights his appreciation for the high-quality education he received while a student as well as the opportunities afforded to him by that education.
“Brad’s support of the aerospace engineering program is invaluable and assists us in our efforts to offer an affordable education to students. We greatly appreciate his gift,” said Rodney Bowersox, department head for aerospace engineering.
Worsham and his wife Liz reside in Oakton, Virgina. He also serves on the aerospace engineering advisory board.
