Approximately 600 students will participate in one of the largest nation-wide events of its kind — the second-annual Texas A&M University Engineering Project Showcase — on April 25 from noon to 4 p.m. in Reed Arena.
The event, presented by Engineering Academic and Student Affairs, is free and open to the public. The showcase will feature work developed by about 150 teams from areas such as Capstone Design classes, AggiE-Challenge projects, student design teams and Startup Aggieland. Some Texas A&M University at Qatar students will also participate, providing an international component.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the students involved in each project to discuss the details of the projects and learn how the students have applied their knowledge from the classroom to the solution in their projects. Industry representatives are invited to attend to see the work of the engineering students and discuss collaborations on future students projects with faculty.
AggieBot, a VGo, will also be roaming around Reed Arena to give prospective high school students the opportunity to attend the Showcase from their school.
