Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, has appointed Dr. Jodie Lutkenhaus the William & Ruth Neely Faculty Fellow in Chemical Engineering.
Lutkenhaus is an assistant professor in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering. She also is an affiliated faculty member of the newly created Materials Science and Engineering Department.
She joined the Texas A&M engineering faculty in 2010. Prior to that she was an assistant professor at Yale University from 2008-2010.
Lutkenhaus’ research interests focus on designing organic thin films and nanostructures to enable the development of novel organic energy systems and smart-coatings.
She received her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
