Texas A&M faculty named TEES fellows

Thirteen faculty members in the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University have been recognized by the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) as TEES Fellows.

The TEES Fellow designation recognizes established faculty members with a history of continuous performance. TEES is an engineering research agency of the State of Texas and a member of The Texas A&M University System. Texas A&M engineering faculty hold joint appointments as TEES researchers.

Selected as TEES Senior Fellows were:

  • Dr. Perla Balbuena, Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering;
  • Dr. Sam Mannan, Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering and TEES Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center; and
  • Dr. Haiyan Wang, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Faculty members appointed TEES Faculty Fellows were:

  • Dr. Amine Benzerga, Department of Aerospace Engineering;
  • Dr. Melissa Grunlan, Department of Biomedical Engineering;
  • Dr. Sean McDeavitt, Department of Nuclear Engineering;
  • Dr. Duncan Maitland, Department of Biomedical Engineering;
  • Dr. Frank Shipman, Department of Computer Science and Engineering; and
  • Dr. Jennifer Welch, Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Faculty appointed Select Young Faculty Fellows were:

  • Dr. Mustafa Akbulut, Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering;
  • Dr. Guofei Gu, Department of Computer Science and Engineering;
  • Dr. Srinivas Shakkottai, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering; and
  • Dr. Le Xie, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
