Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, recently announced the recipients for the 2012-13 College of Engineering Teaching, Service and Contribution Awards.
Four individuals received the Teaching Awards, three received the Service Awards and two received Contribution Awards. Each award winner will receive a monetary gift and an award plaque at a banquet on April 25.
Teaching Awards:
BP Teaching Excellence— Melissa Grunlan, biomedical engineering
Tenneco Meritorious Teaching Award— Arul Jayaraman, chemical engineering
Caterpillar Teaching Excellence Award— Stefan Hurlebaus, civil engineering, and Devesh Ranan, mechanical engineering.
Service Awards:
Charles Crawford Distinguished Service Award— Charles Glover, chemical engineering; Amarnath Banerjee, industrial and systems engineering; and Maria Barrufet, petroleum engineering.
Contribution Awards:
E.D. Brockett Professorship— Jaime Grunlan, mechanical engineering
Barbara & Ralph Cox ’53 Faculty Fellow Award— William Charlton, nuclear engineering.
