Killough is a professor in the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University.  He joined the faculty in the spring of 2012. Previously, he worked for Halliburton and the Landmark Graphics Software Group where he was the Halliburton Fellow for Reservoir Simulation.

Killough earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering  and a Ph.D. in math sciences from Rice University, where he was an NSF Graduate Fellow in physical chemistry.

His research interests are in reservoir simulation and high-performance computing; coupled surface/subsurface reservoir models; upscaling and multiscale reservoir simulation; contaminant transport in aquifers; and hysteresis and relative permeability.
