Knutson endows chemical engineering scholarship at Texas A&M

Juan Manuel Lamparero ’87, founding partner and CEO of Industrial Lamparero and wife, Veronica, and Interim Department Head César MalavéSolutions Technology of Mexico, was named an outstanding former student of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the department’s honors and awards banquet in April.

Lamparero's company delivers information technology solutions with an emphasis on security.

Lamparero serves on the Industrial and Systems Engineering Advisory Council. He is also a three-time winner of the Aggie 100 Award, given annually by the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship in the Mays Business School to recognize the fastest growing Aggie-owned or Aggie-led businesses in the world.

Lamparero’s plans for the near future are to open a company based in Texas and serving Latin America.

In addition to his degree from Texas A&M University, Lamparero holds an MBA from Heriot Watt University.
