Petroleum engineering student wins second place in AADE poster presentation

Arash Shadravan, a master's degree student in the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering, won second place in the 2012 American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE) student poster presentations.

The contest was held during the AADE Fluids Technical Conference and Exhibition April 10-11 in Houston. Shadravan won for his poster, “Rheological Properties of Invert Emul­sion Drilling Fluid under Extreme HPHT.”

Shadravan received the AADE medal and $1,000.
