Texas A&M University’s chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) was selected the Registered Student Organization of the Year by the Department of Student Activities.

The award will be presented on April 1 during the All-University Awards Ceremony that will be held in Rudder Auditorium.

EWB focuses on the mission of partnering with developing communities worldwide in an effort to improve the quality of life through the implementation of environmentally sustainable, equitable and economical engineering projects.

Some of the projects the Texas A&M chapter has undertaken include building a library for an elementary school in Acuña, Mexico, and the design and construction of a computer center for a school in a rural village in San Juan, Costa Rica (pictured).
