Anderson appointed Wiley Chair

Dr. Stuart Anderson, professor in the Construction, Geotechnical and Structural Engineering Photo of Dr. Stuart AndersonDivision of the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University, has been appointed holder of the A.P. and Florence Wiley Chair.

Anderson is a professor in civil engineering with a specialty in construction engineering and management. His teaching focus areas include project development (project economics, conceptual estimating, risk analysis and technical planning), advanced project management (construction engineering systems), and project planning and estimating.

His primary research interests include modeling and improving project management processes, early estimating and cost management, leading indicators to project outcomes, innovative project delivery and contracting systems, project process improvement through constructability and accelerated construction process strategies and techniques.

Other research interests include the role of owners and contractors in capital projects, front-end planning, and impact of organizational change on project development and execution processes.

Anderson was elected to the National Academy of Construction in 2010.
