College to host "Grad School 101"

The Dwight Look College of Engineering will host "Graduate School 101" Oct. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 102 of the Zachry Engineering Center.The workshop is open to all engineering sophomores, juniors and seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher.During the meeting, these critical topics will be discussed: options after graduation; benefits of pursuing a graduate degree; how to choose a graduate program; funding opportunities; and the admissions and application process.In addition, there will be a panel of current engineering graduate students to provide an opportunity for undergraduate students to ask questions and learn from their experiences of making the decision to attend graduate school and the transition from undergraduate to graduate level academics.Undergraduates are encouraged to attend this workshop to make the most informed decision possible regarding their futures.
