Student Organizations

IISE - Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers

The Student Chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers at Texas A&M University is an organization open to industrial engineering undergraduate and graduate majors. The goal is to provide a vehicle for our fellow students at Texas A&M to the many aspects of industrial engineering. IISE sponsors plan trips in which student members are able to see many of the manufacturing operations research, and safety theories that are taught by the industrial engineering department. In addition, IISE invites affluent members of the industrial engineering community to come to Texas A&M to speak at the IISE meetings. IISE strives to enrich the community of Bryan/College Station via various volunteer events, such as "The Big Event." Through all these activities, industrial engineering students can gain a broad range of knowledge and understanding about their major.

Alpha Pi Mu

Alpha Pi Mu, the industrial engineering honor society, also has an active and involved chapter within the department. It was recently named one of the top three chapters in the nation.
