Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training

Five days, typically offered in summer ($2,500)

The short course is taught by a Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt with many years of industrial experience working on Lean Six Sigma projects and coaching Black Belts and Green Belts. The DMAIC process will be illustrated with several practical example projects. You will have the opportunity to start your own Lean Six Sigma project during the short course. Upon completion of the short course, students will be able to follow the DMAIC process for applying the Lean Six Sigma toolset and concepts to improve the efficiency of processes and product quality in their organizations. They will also have a head start on extending their knowledge towards advanced Lean Six Sigma certificates.  Limited to 10 students.

*Onsite training at other times can be arranged if there are more than 10 participants from the same organization.

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training

One day, typically offered in summer ($500)

This one-day short course provides an introduction to Lean Six Sigma. The history of Lean Six Sigma is discussed. The DMAIC process is introduced. Various tools used in Lean Six Sigma projects are introduced. A Lean Six Sigma case study is used to illustrate the execution of a Lean Six Sigma project. Organization-wide deployment of Lean Six Sigma, selection of Lean Six Sigma projects, formation of teams, project management, and Lean Six Sigma certification are discussed. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

The target audience for this short course includes executives, who are responsible for Lean Six Sigma deployment and project selection, and practitioners, who will be involved in Lean Six Sigma projects in supporting roles.  Limited to 10 students.

Bridge to Test

80 to 96 hours of hands on submersion in Test Engineering. It is intended to take someone with little to no experience in Test Engineering and turn them into a capable self-learner and tool user who understands the test process and can contribute to it. It is an immersive experience which requires 8 hours a day in the lab and homework at night. There is no weekend off, there is only the Weekend Challenge and more simulator and tester time. Dr. Rainer is Fink will be lecturing key topics throughout the class. Ellen Onderko (LTX, TERADYNE, and 14 Semesters at TAMU) will be introducing Tester capabilities and assisting you to learn them. 4 Technical Associates of the program will be assisting students throughout the class. Limited to 12 students.
